See our live 1kw solar power system in action
Install Solar Power to improve your energy efficiency whilst helping to build a sustainable future.
Pritchett Electrical are Clean Energy Council accredited designers and installers of Photovoltaic grid-connect solar power. (CEC accreditation number A4144405).
If you have ever thought about getting solar power, now is the time to do it. Here are some of the reasons why:
Solar Energy reduces your impact on the environment.
Collecting solar energy from our sun is one of the most environmentally friendly ways to produce clean electricity. A 1 kilowatt system will save approximately 1.5 tonnes on greenhouse gases a year. Larger systems will save even more.

The Government Solar Credits will save you money.
The Government's Solar Credits scheme which will provide five times the RECs for PV systems up to 1.5 kW is applicable for systems installed from Tuesday 9 June 2009 that were not eligible for the Solar Homes & Communities Plan rebate. For more information on Solar Credits please visit our Solar Rebates/Credits page.
The new Solar Credits are not means tested.
Systems that were ineligible for the $8000 government rebate will now be eligible for Solar Credits if installed from 9 June 2009. This includes businesses or customers with an income of more than $100,000.
Feed-In Tariffs will save you money.
Feed-In Tariffs (FITs) reimburse you for any power your solar electricity system feeds back into the grid. Thanks to increased State Government solar feed-in tariffs in Victoria, from November 1, 2009 you will be paid 60 cents/kWh* for excess energy exported back into the grid from your solar electricity system, on a net metered arrangement. This means that you are paid for the extra electricity your system feeds back into the grid when it generates more power than your home needs. That is almost three times the amount of what you are paying for the electricity you use. So it pays to go solar now.
Your solar system will save you more than ever, and that’s not counting what you save by using less traditional electricity.
* Some retailers are offering a Feed-In Tariff of 68 cents/kWh, so ensure you shop around. Make sure you also compare the price you will pay for electricity consumed, as well as your feed-in tariff.
Solar Energy has no ongoing costs and will reduce your energy bills.
Solar energy is a renewable resource which will never run out. Once your solar system has been installed and connected, you have no ongoing costs. All you will be required to do is keep the panels clean.
A 1 kilowatt solar system generates approximately 25% of the electricity used in the average household, therefore you can expect at least a 25% reduction in your current energy bills. And with experts predicting a 40% increase in the price of electricity by 2020, this can only be a good thing.
Pritchett Electrical use only high quality equipment.
We want our customers to produce as much electricity as possible from their systems, so we use only high quality solar panels and inverters. The equipment we use gives you maximum electricity production to have a greater impact on the environment and a greater impact on your power bills.
Please note, we cover all areas for Solar Power, including Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
